As part of Merthyr Tydfil Housing Associations 40^th anniversary celebrations we have partnered with Merthyr Mendicants as our a nominated charity.

The Merthyr Mendicants is a local charity, which comprises a group of dedicated fundraisers, who for the past sixty plus years have relied upon the generosity of local residents, organisations and businesses within the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil to provide financial support to local charities, organisations, youth groups and individuals, who are otherwise unable to support themselves or their projects.  Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association’s wider social objectives match very closely with the aims of Merthyr Mendicants and MTHA Director of Operations, Tim Macdermott said “it is an honour to be able to support this wonderful organisation with a grant of £1000 to assist with their  valuable work.”

Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association has a small annual charitable donation pot which can be applied for by any community members or groups with a charitable aim.  The grant awards are usually no more than £200 but there are no set rules for who can apply and for what.  If you have an idea for a project with a small cost that could make a big difference in your local area then please send us a letter or email detailing what you want the money for and how you will spend it.
