In Merthyr Tydfil, the local authority is in charge of allocated homes. In this section you can find details of how to join the waiting list.
We are working to improve the energy efficiency of tenants’ homes and make them greener. Our latest progress is included in the greener homes section.
Merthyr Housing also has a small number of commercial properties and homes that are not part of the Common Housing Register. Further information is available in this section.
If you would like to apply for social housing, you MUST visit www.livingmerthyrtydfil.org.uk and:
- Register on the site (button to the top right of the home page) this takes about 5 minutes; then
- Complete a Housing Registration Application – where you provide all relevant information about your household. This takes between 30 and 40 minutes.
Please do this as soon as possible – as the information you provide as part of your application may need to be validated. This can take time, and until complete – you will not be active on the system and hence cannot apply/bid for properties.
