We are a community based housing association, providing exceptional services to all our customers. An exciting opportunity has now arisen to join and lead our Finance team.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, you will lead the day to day operations of the finance team (3 direct reports) and be responsible for ensuring all financial transactions in the team are accurate, prepare monthly management accounts, monitor KPI’s, manage relationships with internal and external audit and prepare first draft of year end statutory accounts.
You will also work closely with all areas of the business, developing relationships that create a real and active support by providing analysis and trusted advice in decision making. It is important that you are able to communicate your message clearly, at the right level and in a clear and user-friendly manner.
This position requires the post holder to have experience of managing a busy finance team, with full control over preparing timely and accurate management accounts. A relevant qualification is essential, as is excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a keen eye for detail.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the housing sector, but even more important is a ‘can-do’ attitude and the enthusiasm to review and improve our systems and controls to ensure we’re operating as efficiently as we’re able to.
