The total project cost is £4.4million which is funded by a Social Housing Grant allocation of £2.6 million and private finance of £1.8m sourced by MTHA. The Social Housing Grant investment has been secured through the strong partnership working between MTCBC and MTHA to deliver upon the needs for new affordable housing in the County Borough. It represents the latest example of both the Council and MTHA working together to bring forward new development and regeneration projects in the County Borough of which there are a number of further examples in the pipeline.

The works that are currently underway are preparing the site for construction works including groundworks and the setting up of the site compound. It is anticipated that the new homes will be completed in July 2022 and will be built to an energy standard that exceeds the current requirements of Building Regulations.
Local contractor, Holbrook Homes, will be undertaking the construction works. As a local business, Holbrook Homes are committed to making a positive contribution to the local communities within the County Borough both directly and through their supply chain and subcontractors. This will include new job and skills training opportunities and working with the local primary school in Pant on a variety of projects in and around the school. The Community Development Team here at MTHA will work alongside the contractor to realise those job and training opportunities and identify community benefits on the project.
